1.1 Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years of age to use our Services. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are between 16 and 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must review and consent to these Terms on your behalf.

1.2 Account Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at onedirectoryacademy@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

1.3 One Account Per Person

Each individual is permitted one active account on the OneDir platform. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or policies is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent suspension of all associated accounts.

2.1 Enrollment

Upon successful enrollment and payment confirmation, you will be granted access to your selected course materials, live sessions, and mentorship resources for the duration of your cohort. OneDir reserves the right to refuse enrollment at our discretion.

2.2 Course Access Period

Access to course materials is provided for the duration of your active subscription or enrollment period. Upon completion of your course or expiry of your subscription, continued access to materials will depend on your plan. OneDir may offer extended access packages at its discretion.

2.3 Cohort Participation

Our courses operate on a cohort model with scheduled start and end dates, live sessions, and assignment deadlines. Students are expected to participate actively, complete assignments, and engage with their mentors. Failure to meet minimum participation requirements may result in not receiving a certificate of completion.

3.1 Payment Plans

OneDir offers two primary payment structures: (a) Full Payment — a one-time lump sum paid upfront before or at the start of the cohort, which may attract a discount; and (b) Monthly Subscription — fees paid in installments on a monthly basis for the duration of the course. The specific fees for each course are displayed on the respective course pages.

3.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed through secure, third-party payment gateways. By submitting payment, you authorize OneDir to charge the applicable fees to your selected payment method. OneDir does not store your card details.

3.3 Late Payments

For subscription plans, failure to make a scheduled payment will result in suspension of access to course materials and live sessions until the outstanding balance is cleared. Prolonged non-payment (exceeding 14 days) may result in permanent removal from the cohort without a refund of prior payments.

3.4 Fee Changes

OneDir reserves the right to modify course fees. Any changes will not affect the agreed fee for cohorts you are already enrolled in. New fees apply to future enrollments only.

4.1 Refund Window

A full refund is available if requested within 7 days of your cohort start date, provided you have not accessed more than 20% of the course materials or attended more than one live session.

4.2 No Refund Circumstances

No refunds will be issued after the 7-day window, for students who have substantially progressed through the course, for no-shows without prior notice, or where a student is removed from the program for violation of these Terms.

4.3 Exceptional Circumstances

OneDir may, at its sole discretion, consider refund requests or course deferrals in cases of documented medical emergencies or other severe extenuating circumstances. Such requests must be submitted in writing to onedirectoryacademy@gmail.com with supporting documentation.

5.1 OneDir Content

All course materials, video recordings, written resources, code samples, designs, logos, trademarks, and other content provided on the OneDir platform are the exclusive intellectual property of OneDir Academy Ltd or our licensed content partners. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access this content solely for your personal, non-commercial educational use.

5.2 Prohibited Use

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, broadcast, create derivative works from, sell, sublicense, or otherwise exploit any OneDir content — in whole or in part — without our prior written consent. This includes sharing course recordings, distributing course materials, or re-uploading content to any external platform.

5.3 Your Content

Content you create and submit within the platform (e.g., projects, assignments, forum posts) remains your property. By submitting it, you grant OneDir a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and share such content for educational, promotional, and operational purposes (e.g., showcasing student projects in a portfolio gallery).

6.1 Respectful Community

OneDir is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment. All students, mentors, and staff are expected to treat one another with dignity and respect, regardless of background, experience level, gender, religion, or ethnicity.

6.2 Prohibited Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the platform: harassment, bullying, or discrimination of any kind; sharing plagiarized or dishonestly obtained work; academic dishonesty or cheating on assessments; sharing your account login credentials with others; attempting to gain unauthorized access to other students' accounts or course content; engaging in disruptive behavior during live sessions; and posting harmful, illegal, or offensive content in any community space.

6.3 Reporting

If you witness or experience any violations of our Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to conduct@onedir.academy. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly.

Upon successful completion of a course — including meeting minimum attendance requirements, completing all mandatory assignments, and passing the capstone project — you will receive a verified digital certificate of completion. OneDir certificates reflect the skills and knowledge acquired through our programs. While we work with industry mentors to ensure curricula are relevant, OneDir makes no guarantee of employment or specific career outcomes as a result of certification.

Mentorship is a core component of OneDir's educational model. Mentors are industry professionals who provide guidance, feedback, and career support. Mentor sessions are scheduled according to cohort timelines. Students are expected to prepare adequately for sessions and provide at least 24 hours notice if they need to reschedule. Repeated failure to attend scheduled mentorship sessions without prior notice may result in loss of mentorship access. Students must not solicit mentors for private work engagements or attempt to establish commercial relationships outside the OneDir platform during the course of enrollment.

OneDir's Services are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components. OneDir does not guarantee that course content will be completely up to date with every industry development, though we commit to regular curriculum reviews. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, OneDir disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OneDir and its directors, employees, mentors, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or opportunities — arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services, even if OneDir has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to OneDir in the three months preceding the claim.

OneDir reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to our Services at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms, for non-payment, or for any other reason we deem appropriate to protect the integrity of the platform and its community. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including intellectual property rights, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the use of our Services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the Lagos Court of Arbitration. Both parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria for any matters not subject to arbitration.

OneDir reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 14 days' notice of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of our Services after the effective date of any amendment constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
